Guest guest
Leah, your head will be spinning with trying to understand the reports. Go in with a clear head, and listening ears on! I brought a steno pad (I am a bit of a steno pad fanatic -- anything will do, paper and pen to take some notes so that when I got home, I had them to work with and google with. (so I could better understand the conversations.) A good thing I had done was I had journaled my changes/additions and my observations. And I would read it prior to going to the Dr. office so that we could have meaningful conversations about what was good that was happening, what was stagnant, and what was negative. -- which was how we finally got the diet stuff (eating better foods) finally going in a positive direction. (and that took from June 2009-End of January 2010.) I meet with my DAN once a quarter for about an hour for both my son and brother. So, having the notes for 3 months is really, really helpful. And also when I see stagnant stuff, I am more prone to research some ideas and bring them up w/my DAN. For the first 7 months - Rob (my brother) and Jimmy (my son) were all diet and supplements, but now, they have branched off into different directions, and it seems more of orchestrated dance going on...They are doing two different things, and it gets pretty confusing. I hope you get some good information...as sometimes it's like a crap shoot as to what you should do next... Good luck tomorrow! laura > > Hi All, > We have our second DAN! appt tomorrow and I know we'll be going over lab > results and probably starting with some anti-fungal treatment, but so I make > the most of it, do any of you have any tips of things I should ask while > we're there?
