Guest guest
Gator Bait, I can not remember where I read it but just recently I did read that high temps can have a very ill effect on blood sugar. My guess is that someone posted the article on this list. Try moving to Nome. As most of you know we are having high temps and high humidities here in Florida. I haven't run across this problem before but my sugar levels have jumped up since the high temps and high humidity has arrived. My question is this one of the things that happens with this type of weather conditions. I haven't changed anything with my meds or diet. I have been outside a lot here lately. Thanks for your help. Guest guest
Okay Gator Bait, one of the things you *NEED* to do is keep hydrated. What advice do you give folks when they call and are suffering from the heat? Well, the same advice applies to you as well. (LOLLOLLOL) I have given up on *all* drinks with any sweetener in it. I have grown to like just plain old water with a twist of RealLemon or RealLime in it. It makes the water drinkable. (ROFLROFLROFL) According to all I know you need about 1 ounce of water for each pound of body weight. Guest guest
As Cy stated, drink plenty of liquid, preferably water. I think sun may also do other things to push bg readings up. If the heat and humidity cause stress, this can raise bg readings. Dave did you receive your NLS player yet? Expecting one soon? Guest guest
Dave, thanks I have already started drinking more water. My doctor told me not to be in the direct sun or heat for no more than 10 minutes. Junior Lolley KG4ITD Liberty County E. C. Re: info please As Cy stated, drink plenty of liquid, preferably water.
