There will be endless debates about their choices i.e. bf or bottle, jabs or not They won't get any peace. Says she adding to the debate!! There was an article in The Times today saying " the overwhelming majority of doctors will be pleased that talk of Mrs Blair having a non-surgical delivery have proved unfounded " . It is even accompained by a diagram of all the people expected to be present in The Blair Caesarean Team. Good for Cherie - she obviously had her own reasons for rejecting a CS (her DH not taking leave must be a strong contender!) but being so high profile, hopefully she will make other women ask questions when they are being rail-roaded into CS. At least (for them) they avoided the media circus that the royals have been through when they left hosp, & she is now on home territory. 'Baby Leo Blair will have a highly traditional and loving start in the world. His mother has chosen to breastfeed him and has told friends she wants her new son to share his parents' bedroom.' There's also an article with quotes from Beverley Beech about CB choosing VBAC with the mail medical correspondent commenting on the fact that caesarian is major abdominal surgery (I know everyone here knows that, but lots of people I know don't look on it that way so to see it in b & w always helps). Tony said yesterday that Cherie had a very difficult time the first time needing intervention (forceps I presume?). He missed the second birth which was early and he was away. Dad was reading the paper Grandma and G-Aunt and assorted rellies aged from 2-87 around. dad says " you'll like this Angi, Cherie Blair had a natural birth... " me from the hall *very* loudly " Do you mean she had a vaginal delivery then? " exit my mother and 14 yo male cousin from the room to the sound of coffee being spluttered....
