Guest guest
You want to be careful not to freeze the insulin in your attempts to keep it cool. I've just stored insulin in a bag with other supplies, making sure it's not in direct sunlight or in a hot place. Just last weekend, we went camping and it was pretty hot. But, I just kept my Humalog pen and Lantus vial in my little diabetic bag, stuffed inside a duffle bag, and out of the sun, essentially, in the shade. It wasn't even close to the temperature in a refrigerator, but I've done this for years and have never had a problem. Dave did you receive your NLS player yet? Expecting one soon? Read the FAQ at: http://www.bardtalk.com/faq.php traveling with insulin Hi List, I recently moved from medication in the form of pills to insulin. I am planning to travel during the first half of July and was wondering how to keep the insulin at or near room temperature as I travel during this hot weather. I will be traveling by car. any thoughts are appreciated. Lowell.
