I shold be checking my blood even though I am a type 2. my doctor is pushing me

to do this but I am afraid of needles, and I want to check it but I am afraid of

the pain. if some one could contact me off list who lives in new york I would

greatly apprciate it. I need help in checking my blood not help but suggestions

on the best way of not having the pain, because my fingerds are very sensative.

your 100 percent right, is there a device that I could use that would help. I

heard there is such a thing as a pen that pricks your finger and does it quick

and sort painless.

thanks for the info.

It is much better to prick your finger, than to have to give yourself a needle

every day. Some have to take a lot more needles than that. There is usually a

dial on the lancet holder, where you can make the poke less noticeable. Vicky

Try pricking the finger on the side, rather than the tip. If you warm your

finger, it hurts less. After a few tries, it is hardly noticeable!
