Guest guest
We had that Kim when Kennedy wore those type of aids and it did make a great fit, but unfortunately it broke her ears out! Idea for hearing aid troubles This message came on one of my other lists. This little boy has trouble with collapsing canals, hence the feedback issues. His Mom said I could share it here, since so many of our kids have troubles with feedback and keeping the hearing aids in. With the floppy outer ear, maybe this type of ear mold would give just enough stick inside the ear, so the double sided tapes etc could work outside the ear..... Just a thought. Kim L Just had to tell you all that I had the GREATEST day yesterday. Sam wears power hearing aids and feedback has been an ongoing issue since he was fitted with aids at four months of age (he is two now). We got the new OtoClear hearing aid molds yesterday, which are made of a hard substance that is kind of sticky, but completely clear. Anyway, it was THE FIRST DAY IN OVER EIGHTEEN MONTHS that I have not heard an OUNCE of feedback. I almost don't know what to do with myself. I had to keep checking his aids to make sure the batteries weren't going, because even when he was laying down or resting his head to the side, THERE WAS NO FEEDBACK. The only draw back is that I have to carry the Oto Ease stuff with me because they are a bit tricky to get in without it b/c of the slight stickiness. On the plus side, they are harder for him to pull out! WHO HOO!!!!
