Guest guest
Generally these tests are very difficcult to impossible to interpret. Especially the urine tests if they are not a timed collection spanning at least several doses (e. g. 24 hour, at least 12 hour). Especially with the 4.7 year old, you should have seen notable progress if this was the problem. Also, did you post the GSDL hair results earlier? If so, what message number? You don't make much of a case that they indicated a heavy metal problem in the first place. Is the children's history consistent with vaccine induced problems, with normal development until age 2, at which point regression and growth failure occurred? Andy . . . .. . . . . . . Guest guest
thank you for looking at these results----sorry for omitting some details: > Generally these tests are very difficcult to impossible to interpret. > Especially the urine tests if they are not a timed collection spanning > at least several doses (e. g. 24 hour, at least 12 hour). These were 12 hour collections----covering and following several doses. We were instructed to note the total amount and then decant a small portion for the test kit. (of note: the DAN wanted 8 hr dosing, I adjusted for 4 hour intervals---I didn't see how that should make a difference for the test) Her BM to be used for the test took 30+ hours to show up. > > Especially with the 4.7 year old, you should have seen notable > progress if this was the problem. I am having a lot of trouble defining progress for her. Spec.ed. preschool teachers, speech path, and day-care providers remark on it regularly (they do not know about chelating we are doing), but it seems painfully slow to me (I am not the most patient person ever;) For example, I was more than ready to have the " decided to go on the potty " experience that some have reported and have not. I believe she does have knowledge of bodily functions now, but may have behavioral block about using the potty. It is also hard to sort out what may be due to above school interventions and 9 months of development. She came up with casein components in urine and we restrict that and also use Houston enzymes. My spouse was initially skeptical of chelation, but believes she is making progress. Significantly better ability to make herself understood vs. screaming. Still very irritable, easily frustrated. > > Also, did you post the GSDL hair results earlier? If so, what message > number? I dug them out and looked at them again recently when you were discussing GSDL hair tests with someone else. Based on your recent posts, my son would seem to qualify, but daughter would not. She is much more severe ASD than he. > > Is the children's history consistent with vaccine induced problems, > with normal development until age 2, at which point regression and > growth failure occurred? Yes. All her milestones to 18 months or so right on (faster than her older brother, in fact) Little demarkation to regression (compared to what others have posted). Example: knew and could point to numerous body parts at 20 months, lost most/all by 2.5 years. No marked growth failure. Both my kids are tall (as is their father). She is VERY thin. Head circumference(s) normal. No particular regression for my son. He is ?Aspberger dx. No amalgam for either pregnancy, although I got one installed (since removed) while daughter still breastfeeding at 8 months. Chelation has gone pretty well, I think. We have the " fussies " (over emotional, crabby, sometimes slight temp) on the last day-first day off round. Occasional yeast flares with daughter that we treat pretty easily with GSE. (Do I remember you saying chelators would not have these effects if no metal to remove?) Perhaps these results are fairly common---as odd as it sounds, I was hoping for a big ol' glump of mercury on them to prove that we were doing the right thing <sigh> > > Andy . . . .. . . . . . .
