Guest guest
Moria, I think those estimates are " too long " . I think 1 to 2 years is expected, and 3 is a lot. Adjusted for long breaks (e.g. if you take a year off in the middle....) Glad to hear/think I may have over estimated. my questions for you are: would you move your whole family to this retreat center? no how many people is that? One parent per child How would the other children (if any) be affected by the move? Not as badly as the child that is already affected. Atleast you can try to reason to them and make it up in other ways. Plus they could visit on wkends or monthly perhaps. whould the retreat center have schools for ALL the children? No, just ASD would you sell your house (if you own one)? That is of course a personal decision. I imagine single parents might consider it, then again if they can afford not too. would you and/or your partner (if any) work while living at this center? One parent per child. If you have only one child and a partner, your partner I imagine would stay home and work and visit as often as desired. The parent staying with the child would be “working” in a sense, (as the child’s personal assistant/nutritionist/educational ”shadow”, etc…) would you and/or your partner (if any) be able to find work in your current profession while living at this center? The parent with the child would not be earning any money. Imagine the retreat would most likely only exist if funded by private donations, as I wouldn’t hold my breath for grants from our government. Maybe a dozen corporations could foot the bill, any know Bill Gates personally. I will go visit OHI, as I am just 2hrs. above them. Guest guest
I do know of someone that runs a B & B in middle missouri, serves what she has raised/grown and buys organic. She use to work with Giant Steps in St. Louis. She does Cranial Sacral therapy, massage, Reiki, Touch For Health, and I can't remember what else she offers, but we're going there next summer for atleast a weekend (she use to work on my son 'till we moved, and they moved at the same time). I figure it's the perfect weekend atleast. Guest guest
Andy had a post on 12-24-02 with the swag of 1½ to 4 years. This was if you were doing a 3/11 schedule. Previous posts he has suggested (swag) it might take 35 to 100 rounds. Hope this helps. I live by Andy’s swags. (Ian’s mom, will complete 35th round tonight) RE: [ ] residental detox center //Re: the cause of all problems Moria, I think those estimates are " too long " .
