One discussion board user recently asked doctors to do a better job warning patients about diabetes BEFORE they get blood sugar problems. I absolutely agree that doctors need to do a better job helping patients recognize their risk of potentially developing diabetes. Only a small fraction of those with prediabetes know they have it, and those with prediabetes are treated casually by their doctors, rather than put on " red alert " like they should be.
