Guest guest
Val, I know everyone here has said that endos know nothing....but I had never been to an ENDO..until today. I feel like I have been thru a war. 1. I made numerous long trips to the acess office and filed out all parework, and jumped thru their hoops for a month to get access. 2. I waited 6 weeks to get an appointment with a rude angry doctor, who by some miracle gave me a referall to an ENDO! 3. I waited, with so much hope for 5 weeks for the Endo appointment, because for 3 yrs Ive been told that I need an acth test(even my naturopath needs to know) 4. I bring my 4 way way low cortisol tests( all 4 low); 2 low aldosterone tests (4); 4 electrolyte tests showing low sodium 135, low potassium 3.5; The ENDO says...We will NOT write a prescription for the acth test, as you have nothing that warrents it. Adrenal insufficiency is vary rare, so you do not have it. Isocort has NO cortisol in it, It looks like you are also NOT hypothyroid, and should come of the medicine. I feel abused.
