Guest guest
It is being recommended that I keep my son on Nystatin indefinitely through the chelation process (for days on & off), & during actual times of chelation combining it with GSE or another antifungal. Is this typical or would using an antifungal such as GSE only during actual chelation be sufficient? Thanks in advance, Michele

Is this typical isn't nystatin one of the Rx meds that is stressful for liver? > or would using > an antifungal such as GSE only during actual chelation be sufficient? change that to " only when yeast is a problem " and I think it would be ideal. GSE kills everything in sight. Dana continues to point out that this can aggravate bacteria (that is, lead to bacterial overgrowth). (I know, can't win!) I would also tend toward CONTINUAL probiotics and coconut oil. These seem " easier " to me--- less likely to cause negative reactions. I think if yeast flares up you need MORE than these (e.g. GSE or nystatin), but I think these are good maint/preventive things. Maybe the yeast problem is not as much if using them. best wishes, Moria

I believe that's supposed to help with bacteria as well...? Perhaps that would do for helping control bacteria if GSE use causes an issue? Any info...? Thanks very much again, (I'm very anxious to get started but am still hyper about doing this " right " ). Michele
Guest guest
I was wondering how would you use the coconut oil to prevent yeast. By rubbing or by using them as cooking oil? I don't know. But keep it up More might be better. But I really don't know that there is any level that guarantees no yeast problems. Maybe you just get a bit LESS yeast problems? I don't know. I also don't know how your child will respond. best wishes, Moria
