Guest guest
I've been trying to focus alot on my son's diet lately, but it seems like there are no safe vegetables. If you're SCD you can't have rice, potatoes etc.. and if you don't have phenols you can't have carrots, zucchini, avocado, cucumbers, bell peppers or tomatoes. If you need low oxalates no spinach etc. Which veggies CAN he eat? I'm just getting really confused about whats ok and whats not, that we're staying away from most veggies b/c I don't know what he can have. And it just doesn't make sense to me or seem healthy to omit so many veggies. We did an allergy test and the only thing he is really reactive to is dairy - but I do notice that when he eats carrots and zuchini it shows up undigested in his stools. Behaviorally, the only thing he seems to react to is dairy, he immediately is foggy and drunk and starts drooling. I can't tell with anything else b/c my son doesn't have any distinguished recurring stims, he is very creative with his stims/behaviors and is constantly changing them and gives up old ones for new ones every few days. After we tell him to stop doing a certain stim he will, but after a few days invents a new one, lol - so I don't know really what to look for. Any advice is appreciated!
