Guest guest
I have been looking for an active support system since the one I was with kind of dwindled away. I am 55 years old and gained large amounts of weight when I quit smoking three years ago. Well, almost 50 pounds which was large to me. I don't mean one has to gain when quitting smoking, but I had no idea how hard it was going to be to lose. And I had not really binged before, which I have been known to do now. I recently lost 20 of the pounds, but came under a great deal of stress on the job, quit job and got a new one, and gained. I weighed in this morning and was up 3 more pounds which puts me at 173 with a goal weight of 135, which at 5'3 " is reasonable. My plan is to journal, oh no I hate this, and cut back to reasonable portions of the pyramid. And exercise. I started back on that this week, though not how often I had planned. Or rather, last week. Thanks for letting me share with this group, and I will try to add a word of wisdom {or nonsense as the case may be} every so often. W.
