An April Fool's Day Joke or simply a Fool!

Hi, All:

I received the message below from a friend of mine in San Francisco who also has MS. I don't know if the message was intended as an April Fool's Day joke or if the person she's talking about is really that dumb. If the latter, I'm going to find out her name and phone number so we can all call and enlighten her! If the former, then it's a quirky joke!

Message from my friend:

"Last week I was at a meeting where the President works at UCSF. She happily told me that MS isn't a problem anymore because they have all kinds of treatments for it now. She doesn't understand why I'm still using a cane. Damn! Why didn't the neurologist who spoke at the last Cane & Able meeting let us know? I hope you're doing well or at least hanging around with a better informed group of people than I am. [Name removed]
