Guest guest
I have been harrassed, cornered by a couple docs and nurses at the same time and suffered through the same routine over and over again and let me tell you, its horrible the kind of guilt trip and methods they use to lie their way to job your kid. I tell the same pediatrician to not even talk about it. Then he starts with, well I have to do my job...then I interrupt & say, 'part of your job is to honor parents wishes and you keep insisting on something we do not wish to do. I don't want to talk about it again! Put it in your notes that we waive ALL vaccines and don't bring it up unless we do. End of story.' And you know what, every time they just start up and then they pause (becuase they see a million kids and forget) and then I jump in with a firm tone- " ABSOLUTELY NOT! " -and they move onto the next subject. If anyone thinks they have a God-complex and wants to start in with their B.S. I tell them 'I'm well educated on both sides of the subject and I've made my decision. You're wasting my time. The moment they try to speak I put my hand up and say 'Enough! Move on please!' I don't give any of them an inch, Janet. Not ONE! I've been through 6 pedi's and now I'm looking for a 7th. I don't care what they think of me, as long as they respect my wishes and don't harrass. Remember they work for you Janet not the other way around! -jaimee > > Hi everyone, > > I took my 15 month old unvaccinated daughter for her well check-up > today and the doctor asked me " When are you going to start vaccinating > your daughter " I told him that I didn't know and wasn't sure that I was > going too. Guest guest
I think you should find a doc who has a reputation for being " tolerant " of parents who do not vaccinate. I found one when my second child was born. I was still vaccinating at that point, but only one at a time. And when I decided to stop vaccines all together, she didn't say a word and she just had me sign a waiver. I think (and she would never say) that she agrees with my decision, because we both saw his development going south after the first 6 months. Besides, who wants a reckless and closed-minded ped anyway? How can you trust anything they tell you or try to do for your child, ya know? Best wishes, > > > > > > my daughter (grown) is just now getting vaccs for my granddaughter and she is 4 yrs old. she (finally!) found a ped who supported her wishes to not jab, jab, jab. also, the three-in-one shot, one at a time, spaced apart, and without thimerasol (sp?). if grand baby is sick, she stays home from school. he is healthy and strong. hasnt had any major illnesses. > > > > vicki > > > > > > > > OT: not vaccinating my child > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi everyone, > > I took my 15 month old unvaccinated daughter for her well check-up today and the doctor asked me " When are you going to start vaccinating your daughter " I told him that I didn't know and wasn't sure that I was going too.
