Guest guest
Hi ! Welcome to Wisconsin! I live in Menasha, which is the sister city to neenah, I don't even know where one starts and the other ends to tell ya the truth. My husband works for Bemis in Oshkosh which makes a lot of Klark's bags. Neenah as well as Menasha are very very good for autism as far as schools are concerned. Which is what you will hear a lot of when you visit any particular school here. But from my experience it's on a school by school basis. I'm sorry I don't know anything about any particular school in Neenah, but I did hear that they were great. Like I said I live in Menasha and had an absolutely HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience at one school and just 10 blocks away I put him into another school and it's like walking through the gates of autism heaven every day. I'm very picky when comes to schools, I'm kind of a tyrant when I get anything less than perfection. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole Neenah/ Menasha school district knew who I was! The school in Menasha that my son goes to now (Butte des Morts Elementary) is absolutely amazing. If I were you, when you go to check out schools make the list of expectations long and tedious and see which school will accomodate your requests the most. Any questions just ask...! Neenah is known throughout wisconsin as having the aboslute best educational programs. Based on rating of parents and test scores. If I could pick, I would choose neenah to live in. I'm excited about the possibility of moving near our families in Michigan and Chicago, but am wondering about the schools. We live in the San Franscisco bay area and have the best DAN and schools/services.What schools are good in the Neenah area for kids with PDD-NOS (Autism)? I don't know where to start. My son will be in 2nd grade in the fall. I also have a daughter (neurotypical) who will be in 6th grade in the fall, so we will be needing a middle school also. We will consider both public and private. Thanks for your help!
