Guest guest
Thanks Jen, what you said about taking off shoes at the door and wash outdoor clothing is helpful. I had not thought of that. Subject: Re: OT: not vaccinating my childTo: mb12 valtrex Date: Wednesday, December 30, 2009, 5:29 AM As a former public health nurse and a current RN, I will never vaccinate my child or my future children. My family history and my son's regression after the DPT and other shots makes it to dangerous to vaccinate. I have had doctors yell at me, other just try to scare me. I know if my child's immune system is strong (which I am working on) and I eat healthy organic foods, use probiotics, wash hands, clean house, take simple precautions, my children will be fine. My mother had the mumps every year of her life until she stopped getting her boosters and flu vaccines. She also has an auto immune disease. So genetics isn't on our side. This year, when the flu scare was on, I didn't get anyone in my family vaccinated. I used to every year, I gave them out to the public as a job for years as well. Well, for the first time (knock on wood) NO ONE in my family got sick. Maybe a slight sniffle and low grade fever for a couple of days, but not the usual killer flu that hits us every year. I upped the vitamins, drank fluids, took off my shoes before entering the house and washed our over coats/jackets daily. We just didn't get that sick. My ASD son, who was always sick since 18 mos regression, had a sniffle but that is it. Long story short, we don't vaccinate. Maybe as my children grow (adults)and might want to travel I will consider some. There are many holistic doctors that follow a personalized schedule for vaccines. Our peds doc does and he won't vaccinate my kids or me, but for others he might do one at a time with a vitamin regime along with them. Vaccinations are serious medicine and can be harmful if used without caution as we have seen. Thimerosol isn't the only problem in vaccines, there are too many toxins to mention and when put together, wow what a lot of poison to inject into someone so tiny. Also, the immune system isn't something to be messed with before it is fully functional (understatement) . I would suggest getting a doctor or nurse that understands the dangers and the positives of vaccines. It depends on the patient. As a RN and future NP, I would never vaccinate an ASD child in recovery or otherwise nor would I vaccinate their siblings, but that is just me. Again, it is a serious decision that shouldn't be taken lightly. By the way, I like what you said to the doctor about the vaccines. And when he said he was just doing his job, that is crap. His job is to help and do no harm, not just follow orders. Happy New Year! Jen > > > my daughter (grown) is just now getting vaccs for my granddaughter and she is 4 yrs old. she (finally!) found a ped who supported her wishes to not jab, jab, jab. also, the three-in-one shot, one at a time, spaced apart, and without thimerasol (sp?). if grand baby is sick, she stays home from school. he is healthy and strong. hasnt had any major illnesses. > > vicki > > > > OT: not vaccinating my child > > > > > > > Hi everyone, > I took my 15 month old unvaccinated daughter for her well check-up today and the doctor asked me "When are you going to start vaccinating your daughter" I told him that I didn't know and wasn't sure that I was going too. I also told him that my husband was totally against vaccinating her. He told me that she was vulnerable to everything from lock jaw to whooping cough, to keep her away from people and that I should reconsider. I told him that when he could put it in writing that there is no preservatives, no live viruses and that he would be responsible for any health issues that she suffered from the jab that I would reconsider. He said that he was doing his job and he is required to tell his patients about the vaccines. What a load of crap! I'm just wondering what other parents out there are doing when approached by the doctor this way and what precautions you are taking with your unvaccinated children. > Thanks, Janet >
