Guest guest
Thanks, Katy, for your real life experience. Feel free to jump in any time. I am, and always have been, an information seeker (nearly to the point of annoyance). In my patient letter to Dr. Rutledge, I said that I nearly drove everyone nuts when I was thinking of buying a new dishwasher. You can just imagine how agonizing this decision has been for me. Any and all input is appreciated, and it is wonderful that your experience has been so positive. Nobody wants to imagine feeling a gnawing hunger for the rest of their lives, but even if I did, it sounds like the benefits far outweigh any discomfort. Thanks! Guest guest
Vicki: I'm going to jump in here & reply, if that's ok. One of the amazing things about the surgery for me is the fact that I'm not hungry. I agree - that was one of the absolute hardest things about dieting in the past. Now, I'm only 3 weeks post op (tomorrow), but so far, so good. I have gotten hungry a couple of times, but I drink my juice or have some yogurt & it's gone. It's amazing! Ya know, for the first time in my life (first diet was at 6!) I feel like my body is working WITH me instead of AGAINST me. There is a calmness that comes from beginning the process of making peace with your own body. Beth Sorensen On Fri, 07 May 1999 13:44:15 -0500 vmart@... (Vicki Marton) wrote: > > >I'm jealous, too, ! Guest guest
Beth, my experience has been absolutely identical to yours. Prior to the surgery, I never had the sensation of " being full. "
