hi claire. i can tell you i have exactly the same thing you have. i have 12 spots and they say demylating desease to and that is a form of ms and i get all the things you are saying to but i dont get them for long either they say its probably relapsing remitting so hang in there its frustrating but sooner or later we will find out.. im kinda getting used to the fact that it could be ms but its still somthing im hoping its not. i had all the test you are getting and it all came back non specific so dont be suprised if that what happens. its been six years for me. my symptoms are begining to become more noticable to me but i guess ill have to wait to have a really bad spell before they finally say yes it is ms. so hang

in there girl. one day at a time xoxox deb MRI brain - results

Hi,

Well, I got the results today. I am not sure that I understand them.

I have "non specific spots or lesions" in the "higher area" of the

brain. These could be from a demyelinating disease or either from a

small blood vessel disease (or other) or even from having migraines or

high blood pressure.

Having said that, they are scheduling a spinal MRI, a lumbar puncture,

and an appointment with a neuro-opthamologist .

They tell me that the symptoms themselves are certainly possibly due

to MS, but the pattern of their appearance is not typical. They don't

stay long enough (a few days to a week at a time). Then when they come

back is unpredictable.

Then of course, the fact that they know I also have the

dermatomyositis which affects the blood vessels, but supposedly NOT

the muscle kind, etc. It is so confusing.

So that's what I have to say so far. Comments anyone!

Sincerely,

Thanks Deb,

I agree when they use that term, they are saying it may be ms, or it

may be the effects of the other disease I do have which is a disease

that involves the blood vessels.

Thanks for the preparation. I am trying to prepare myself. I had kind

of succeeded in preparing myself that the mri would be completely

negative. So now I really don't know. Will make the best of whatever

happens.

I am just glad that the appointments are being scheduled as soon as i

get back into town so there will not be alot of waiting for them or

wiating for results on them either.

:I do believe that is what my first MRI said too. I would have to look for the report to know for sure but I do recall something about "non specific white spots" and that it could be from MS or vasculitis. I looked up vasculitis in the brain and decided it MUST be MS (because vasculitis was too awful :) I had what my neuro called 'rapid cycling' attacks because they would come and be gone within 3 days sometimes. He put me on Avonex as soon as he could diagnose me and the rapid cycling attacks stopped. How are you feeling about all of this? When are your appointments? Sharonhttp://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/MSersHEALTH/This email is a natural hand made product. The slight variations in spelling and grammar enhance its individual character and beauty and in no way are to be considered flaws or defects. MRI brain - results

Hi,Well, I got the results today. I am not sure that I understand them.I have "non specific spots or lesions" in the "higher area" of thebrain. These could be from a demyelinating disease or either from asmall blood vessel disease (or other) or even from having migraines orhigh blood pressure.Having said that, they are scheduling a spinal MRI, a lumbar puncture, and an appointment with a neuro-opthamologist.They tell me that the symptoms themselves are certainly possibly dueto MS, but the pattern of their appearance is not typical. They don'tstay long enough (a few days to a week at a time). Then when they comeback is unpredictable. Then of course, the fact that they know I also have thedermatomyositis which affects the blood vessels, but supposedly NOTthe muscle kind, etc. It is so confusing. So that's what I have to say so far. Comments
