ISO ASD families whose moms have been tested for maternal autoantibodies

Hi Listmates--We are trying to connect with other ASD families whose moms have

tested positive for the production of maternal autoantibodies. Research at UC

and at s Hopkins has indicated that approximately 12% of ASD kids have

moms who produce antibodies to fetal brain tissue. This is the case with our

family. We are trying to connect with other families who are in the same

situation. We have started a yahoo group, called

" AutismMaternalAutoantibodyGroup " for the purpose of connecting all such

families. The idea is that, by connecting, we may uncover similarities in our

ASD kids—similarities in symptoms as well as similarity in what treatments work

and what treatments do not work. If you are such a family or are interested in
