We tried it long time ago. It was helpful. I was told we had to do monthly maintenance but we have not done any in a long time. Planning to do some soon.

I'm getting ready to start my kids on NAET to rid of food allergies. You may look into to. Wonder, has anyone on this site tried??>> What are you using for inflammation besides diflucan? This is all my doctor suggests besides circumin. We want to do hyperbarics or IVIG,but my bloodwork, immunoglo bulins and such aren't abnormal enough.> > Inflammation is a much bigger problem than yeast for me.The only diet that works for me is a complete avoidance of all food.I can't help but wonder if autism might lead to a pseudo-anexoria syndrome in older children, and adults with autism, because all food causes so many problems, that we just avoid it all.> > What can I do

At 8 a specialist also diagnosed him with pitands. Jake's downward spiral started when he had mono at age 5. Epstein Barr levels on and off high over the years. Even when Jake has just a cough I know behaviors and OCD is not far behind. Jake rarely is sick.

I monitor his health through his behavior usually.> The good news is since putting him on the GFCF/ sugar free diet 2 years ago and having him on the NIDS protocol, he is doing much better. Pandas/ Pitands flare ups much less. Zithromax and Pen vk are a godsend. He also is on diflucan and valtrex. Minimizing inflammation is key, Jake is also on allegra and singulair. Jake's immune system is still overly reactive but he's in a better place> Vicki> > > > > ____________ _________ _________ __> From: "stephanieweeks@ ymail.com" <stephanieweeks@ ymail.com>> To: mb12 valtrex@ yahoogroups. com> Sent: Sun, January 3, 2010 7:31:38 PM> Subject: PITAND syndrome, any experience?> > > I was wondering if anyone has a kid who reacts with pandas-type symptoms to viruses or other bacteria? My son's DAN suspects that this is now the case with my son and

that we should do 3 days of steroids. He abruptly started his typical OCD, tics, aggression in the past 48 hours coinciding with quite a "cold". I am going to bring him for a strep culture in the morning, but I am wondering about PITAND just in case...> > Any experience, advice?> >
