Guest guest
Hi, I'm from Florida. I've been blind since birth and have had type 2 diabetes for three years. I'm on oral medications for my diabetes and I'm not insulin dependent for now but even with all my hard work watching what I eat, how much I eat and the carbs, my blood sugars are out of comtrol according to my physician. She said if I came back and had A1C's that were the same or higher than before she was going to put me on insulin. I want to be able to take my own insulin instead of my mom or dad doing it for me. I'm 32 so I'm not a child who needs mom and dad all the time. I'm not scared of a needle. I test my blood sugar twice a day. I joined liberty medical thinking my testing supplies were covered but that was a big lie. My medicare doesn't even pay half of the bill and liberty has been billing me and I can't pay it because I don't get enough money a month. I was also on medicade but social security took me off without asking me what I wanted to do. So now, I'm running out of supplies and no pharmacist has or will order my test strips because they said they don't have that monitor type and they can't find anyone who'll order them. What if medicare doesn't cover my insulin? I'm on a bunch of other medications for mental illness, thyaroid problems, acid reflux disease and of course my diabetes medications. Guest guest
, Call Medicare and get them to tell you why they dropped and what alternative you have. One of first ways you ccan help yourself is by cutting out most of high carbohydrate food you eat and swith to vegetables. Are you overweight? A diet high in vegetablescan help you with that as well as getting your blood sugars donw so your A1C will down. Do you know what yourA1C is? We can help you more if you can tell your test results and what foods you are eating at each meal. my introduction Hi, I'm from Florida.
