Guest guest
Chantelle, The way to find out about seizures is by having an EEG. You lay down and they glue tons of wires on to your scalp. Then they turn off the light, ask you questions, have you take deep breaths and then flash a terribly annoying light in front of your face. I have had these before. I actually love them because I love my scalp being rubbed. My other daughter, a has had them and she hates it because she can't stand her scalp being rubbed. There are others we have had which were more in depth but those were for different reasons. About the voices, you know I always have a song in my head. I have to control it or every once in a while I will hum or sing when it isn't appropriate It is just who I am. When I was younger I used to get in to trouble for not listening. It didn't matter, I was just enjoying the music! Are your voices just thoughts? If not seeing a psychiatrist would be your best bet. Patty has Tourettes, ADHD and OCD. She has had a psychiatrist for years. Even though we are now in MA we have kept him so far. He understands. He has done wonders in explaining to her who she is and why things happen. He has also taught her some relaxation techniques. Do you have a counselor on a psychiatrist you can see? It really would help you in times of stress. Each of us in my family have sought help now and then. That at times has been our saving grace. Sometimes Patty just doesn't want to talk to us, and she shouldn't have to. Still though she has to talk to someone. I think you just might need someone to lend an ear and not make opinions or judgments. And that person has to be trained in deaf/blind or CHARGE issues. Don't just go to anyone. You are a wonderful woman. Take some time to remember you are a gift to the world. Guest guest
Hi Chantelle, I have infrequent seizures. They did a test, the one where they put all that stuff in your head, wire you up, and I didn't have a seizure during the test so they didn't know what was causing it. However, I've never heard of hearing voices from seizures, although I'm sure your doctor would know more about that than I do.
