Guest guest
Hi , Colour changes in stool can mean a couple of things. It can mean changes in bile salts, change of body microflora or be blood. Are you peeling and cooking the zucchini? The skins can be pretty tough if he isn't ready for them. A lot of people have reported trouble with celery even cooked. You can either take it out of his diet temporarily; leave it whole in the soup for flavour but take it out so he doesn't eat it or remove the " fibrous strings " on the back of the celery. There are not set weeks before seeing trophies. Usually it is a gradual improvement. He may swing back and forth between constipation (pebbly stools) and mushy stools as he gets closer to having trophies. Once he starts having trophies he may a period of time before he gets them consistently. Patience is a big part of this. Sheila UC, 20 years -- in remission after 39 mos SCD mom of SCD 24 mos Folks, What's with the dark stool, almost black at the beginning?. It has been a month and now it is getting a bit better, but is it a good/bad sign? Also, his stools have varied between mashed potato, pebbles and very very soft playdough. We are keeping a journal but we still cannot figure out what causes what. He also has what I call Sunday poop (sorry about that), formed center surrounded by D. His diet consists of mostly chicken, beef, acorn, some zuchinni, cooked pear, and acorn fries, and some carrots and celery in the soup. We are introducing butter nut squash today, wish us luck! Also, what are the typical number of weeks before we can expect trophies?
