Guest guest
Pam, Is Boston as " crazy " as the media makes it sound. I can't imagin being 2 miles from all that craziness. Can you get out and about or are you " house bound " . Makes me glad to be out in the middle of no where on my dirt road and farm. It's at least 10 miles to just about anywhere I need to go. I like that way. Hang in there and enjoy Cape Cod. I've never been there. Lynn RE: FW: Welcome to CHARGE Sharon, No, I did not go to DBI, because I had been to CHARGE (can't have everything!). So, my name will be in the school " hat " for the next DBI and hopefully I will be picked. The Carribean--how lovely to think of that!! Have a blast and GO! Learn from the Moms here who remind us all to take care of ourselves!! I am going to Cape Cod next week and the visualization is getting me through the fracas of the Democratic National Convention which is basically in my back yard right now, as well as overhead with the helicopters and fighter jets protecting the Fleet Center in Boston (less than 2 miles from my house, so I guess they are protecting me, too!). Cheers. pam

Guest guest
Dear Lynn, YES!! Boston was as crazy as they said! Although, it seems like there really was a mass (excuse the pun!) exodus, so many of the roads were empty. Downtown is where most of the action was, but there were parties and speeches , etc, that extended to my part of the river, too. I walked over to the Fleet Center to see/be in the middle of it all. It was fun seeing the celebrities arrive and to see the hoopla around the protesters, etc. I must say, that the hype around the protest area was overblown--while it was cordoned off, it really wasn't as cage like as they made it sound. And... it was relatively empty because the protesters refused to go in. They were protesting the protest zone--kinda funny really. Anyway, life is back to normal and I can now go and get my hair cut because the roads are open to traffic. I will bid Cape Cod a hearty hello for you.
