Guest guest
Your ultimate goal is to get your son doing anti-bacterial/viral/metals all together. They are synergistic and come out best together. I'm chiming in because my daughter sounds a lot like your sons, she even get the little herpes rash around her mouth. We did 9 months on Acyclovir and when we stopped seeing gains we switched to Monolaurin and now were getting the rashes again. We also just started EDTA IV chelation and she is also on Amphotericin B, plus all the other supplements. She is doing better than ever. Good luck, go with your mommy gut! > > > Hi All, > > We've been doing Valtrex for my 4.5 yr old for the past 6 months. We started at 250mg 3x a day, and after 2 weeks of rashes and a miserable child, he emerged better than before we had started it. We saw increase in socialization, more awareness in his surroundings and better language. Then after a few months we stopped seeing gains. It definitely also helped to decrease his amount of sickness. He used to be sick all the time last year, and after Valtrex he wasn't sick for three months straight (a record!). Although it was over the summer when we started so I don't know if it b/c flu season was over. Also he used to get these red dots around his mouth and chin (not herpes blisters) and those went away after Valtrex. (But now his NT little brother has them!) > > So we decided that since Ds had gained some weight that we would increase the dose to 500 mg 3x a day. We saw a bit better spontaneous language again but we also increased MB12 injections to every other day around the same time so I don't if its from that. We've been on the 500 mg dose for about a month now, but we are not really seeing any significant gains. > > So my question is: how long do I need to have ds on Valtrex before I decide whether or not to stop? While mildly affected he is still clearly autistic, and nowhere near recovered. He still confuses pronouns, repeats words and sentences over and over, has motor and sensory issues and still does not play pretend with toys or play at all with other children his age (although he is really good at computer games, drawing intricate pictures and plays with older children). > > I guess I just expected that by 6 months I would see bigger changes, and I don't know for sure if it was the Valtrex or his natural progression? There were no huge " wows " and now I don't know if its time to give it up. If we do, I definitely would like to try natural anti-virals to keep his immune system working, or maybe try LDN. > > This past weekend we started AC chelation, and I feel like we're just overloading his body with too many medications, Valtrex/Nizoral/ and now Chelation. What would you do? Should I do a trial of him off of it to see how he does? > > > > Here is a list of things he's on: > > MB12 1250mcg every other day > > Klaire's Probiotics 1 cap once a day > > ES baths, 2 cups per bath daily > > Nu Thera 1/2 capsule twice daily > > Enzyme Complete II, 1 capsule 3 times a day > > Cod liver oil 3 tsp daily > > Vitamin D 6 drops daily > > Glutathione TD from PH 250mg daily > > Zinc 30mg daily > > Optimized folate 1/2 cap twice a day > > calcium 1/4 tsp of the powder once a day > > Nizoral (ketoconzole) > > Valtrex 500mg 3x a day > > Actyl-Carnitine > > CoQ 10 > > Vitamin K > > Riboflavin > > Colostrum > > > > Sorry so long!
