Guest guest
Star Wars. We got my son a light saber and he was crossing midline quickly. Have you heard of www.braingym.com Lots of midline crossing exercises there and more. The best exercise IMHO is super brain yoga.. Google it and see a video. My son wasn't strong enough to do it at first, but I stood behind him and we did it together. It only take a minute twice a day. But seriously..... light saber rocks. > > Does anyone have info on crossing midline exercises? I have been doing some with my son but it seems too simple. I hold one of his hands and offer him half a grape to get him to reach across his body. I guess getting him to crawl (which he doesn't much care for) would be good. Do OT's work on this. My son gets OT at school at odd times so I rarely get to observe. Thanks for any advice. >

Guest guest
We needed to teach my son to crawl at 2 years of age. We did this by making him crawl through a tunnel. He hated it and we had to have something very reinforcing in the middle and then pull it through the tunnel to keep him going. Once he could crawl, he was then able to tilt his head back to drink from a bottle/sippy cup by himself and crawl up the stairs. I will add that he mastered this skill (crawling/head tilt/climbing) within 48 hours of beginning treatment for a protozoa called babesia, using a medication called mepron. The other symptom that resolved with this medication was hyperacusis. He was extremely sound sensitive and had poor receptive language. Caryn > > Does anyone have info on crossing midline exercises?
