Guest guest
a; I have been away most of the long week-end, but want to respond now to your post. I think that doctors who leap to the psychiatric explanation FIRST, are quite misguided. My guess is that you DO have MS, and one can have MS with ONE lesion! As you have so neatly trimmed your post, I cannot respond to anything about " these symptoms. " I have had pain with my own MS, after about ten years, and they do not call it " pins and needles " numbness for nothing! True numbness has not pain, just loss of it an a feeling of numbness. Pain is an integral part of most auto-immune diseases, of MS, and of most neurological diseases. Please do post back to tell us/me of all the symptoms to which you are referring, if you feel like doing that. I have no doubt that all that you are experiencing is very real, and is not some psychiatric thing. Not that MS cannot cause one to be depressed, confused or down, but this doctor sounds pretty heartless to me.
