Need a new compounding pharmacy!

Hi,

We have been using Lee Silsby Compounding Pharmacy for my son's Rx meds - mB12

shots, B-complex transdermal cream, Nystatin, etc... , and have been very happy

with them. I just received a letter from our Rx insurance company (Prime

Therapeutics, through BCBS) that says Lee Silsby will no longer be participating

in Prime Therapeutics pharmacy networks, effective December 27, 2010.

Wah!

Can anyone out there give me some names of some reputable compounding

pharmacies? I've already looked into Pure Compounding Pharmacy, but they are

not on Prime Therapeutic's list of participating pharmacies. I did find a few

local compounding pharmacies who are, but I know nothing about them.

I don't know if Hopewell is on your insurance, but it is on mine.

Shop around for a local one. I found one through a recommendation of a local family. I called the head compounding pharmacist and had a long talk with her before having any scripts filled there. We've been using them ever since. They take both of our son's insurances. I use Park Pharmacy in Irvine, CA. They are good and seem to custom make stuff to my son's taste too. His Nystatin is bubble gum flavored. I would ask if they will take your insurance.

We use America's Compounding Center . The owner and lead pharmacist is Arthur Margolis. They are located in Newton and Boston, MA but they mail out scripts to all over the country.

My Children are very limited in what they can consume because of their GI Disorders and dozens of allergies... America's Compounding Center has been very accomodating... I don't know what we would have done without them!
