I was hoping us two lone Okies could get a quantity discount on port holes by traveling together, but you have sped past me like the roadrunner. Beep-beep. I, Wylie Coyote, am spinning in circles in the road so far. I am, of course, thrilled for you and by the way everything came together for you, there should be no doubt that it was meant to be. The good part is you will be able to give me the " ins and outs " of traveling across the country for this thing - the only down-side that I can see so far. Best wishes and keep me posted. But, take heart, actually eating the yogurt can help a lot too. Have you ever heard of people who get sick on their stomach after taking antibiotics? Same reason. The good bacteria in your stomach gets squashed by the antibiotic and the yeast has a field day. You can also buy straight acidophilus from the nutrition store to help regain balance. If you're trying a natural route, avoid sugar like the plague, it feeds the yeast, and chow down on yogurt. But if it's a really stubborn case (like it usually is!), only the good stuff will do...maybe only a prescription cream, even. Most GYNs will give a regular patient a script over the phone. I don't know which is worse...a yeast infection or a bladder infection??? Both spell " ewwwwwwww " in my book! (Let alone show up in a bathing suit) Just wait until next summer (or hopefully by end of this summer)!! I went to the Greater Greensboro Chrysler Classic last week. We know a lot of people and had hospitality tent passes. Most of the tents had those little plastic chairs. I stood for hours with swollen feet!!!! I was afraid that the chair and I would stand up together. How embarrassing. As tired as I was, I stood. Do you know how many excuses one person can make for not sitting down. Well, thought I'd add a comment to this great group of people. I have submitted my patient info to Dr. R. He has submitted it to my ins. co. I have a referral waiting at my PCP's office. I will pick it up on Monday and make my first Sat. appointment with Dr. R. for the following Sat. I hope I am approved very soon!! When I was younger and thinner(about 190)ages ago,i feel out the garage(yes this is possible)I twisted my ankle and it immedialtely turned blue. I was unmarried,but had a roomate who was still at work. No one in my neighborhood was home so I crawled into the house and called my friend to take me to the emergency room. When I got to the emergeny room,unable to put any pressure on the leg,the attendant wanted me to " jump " up onto the xray table that was at least 5 feet off the ground. I asked for help but he said no,If he dropped me he'd be in trouble and lose his job. So I tried to jump. My first attempt at jumping moed the table(on wheel and I ended up on the floor with the xray table on top of me. He had no problem helping me on my second attempt. Although these usually clear there are some good treatments for them if they are bothersome to you. I am very wide and if not careful of my choice of chairs to sit in, when I stand up so does the chair. The embarassment is all the more if the room is full of people looking at you. If this could happen at your meeting they might see how we feel (or who knows one may even be gallant enough to pull the chair off!). I don't usually chance it - I will not sit anywhere that isn't big enough for 2 people - even if my legs are exhausted. That is the reason I don't like to go to other people's homes or ride in other people's cars - I am afraid I will break their furniture......sooooooo depressing. As a side note, have you guys read the book " DIARY OF A FAT HOUSEWIFE " ?? I am not sure if this is the exact name and I forget the authors' name but it is a great book about the things we go through that normal size people don't have to ..... WELLLLL needless to say , the wheelchair could not bear my weight and the nurse was no where near strong enough to push = soooo I had to walk about 2 blocks from the office to the hospital (keep in mind , that with CHF you can't breathe!!!!!!) I was exhausted! and felt subhuman....overweight people are the only group where their discrimination is condidered politically correct. Every year my HS had a craft show and every year my step-mother ran it. So, inevitably I had to work it every year. This particular year I was out helping one of the crafters bring their stuff in and I toppled down three cement stairs. Keep this part in mind...I lived in Chicago then, it was November, and I was laying on cement. Hello! Can we say freezing our buns off...literally! My Dad, a fireman trained in this area, left me laying there, but was nice enough to cover me up so I wouldn't get too cold. About 10 minutes later (what seemed like forever) he and one of the other guys helped me up and into the cafeteria to sit on two folding chairs to wait for the ambulance. The ambulance didn't come. An entire fire truck did! So I had five guys, three of which knew my dad and had worked with him, standing around watching me. There was NOTHING they could do without the ambulance. When it finally showed up it was two of the most gorgeous paramedics I had ever seen! Hey! I was 18 of course I noticed that! At any rate, I was excited that I got to ride with lights and sirens to the hospital, but here's where the crappy part comes in. Once we arrived at the hospital they were getting me out of the ambulance and the guy by my head said something silly trying to make me more comfortable, but the guy by my feet didn't follow suit. He came back with the comment, " Hey! At least you're not on the bottom! " Meaning he was on the heavier end because he had to hold all my weight while his partner got out. I was almost in tears! That's not something an 18 year old wants to hear! That's not something anyone wants to hear! I should've kicked him, but my foot/ankle/leg already hurt TOO bad! It wasn't a happy moment, but looking at some other stories it wasn't as bad as I made it seem. Life goes on! I'd do anything to see that mean paramedic in six months! That's not something an 18 year old wants to hear! That's not something anyone wants to hear! I should've kicked him, but my foot/ankle/leg already hurt TOO bad! It wasn't a happy moment, but looking at some other stories it wasn't as bad as I made it seem. Life goes on! I'd do anything to see that mean paramedic in six months!
