Guest guest
Bonnie! Today has been just a complete revelation for me! I too got and still have a yeast infection from the antibiotics! I seriously thought I was the only one and wasn't about to say a word about it. Thank you for letting me know I'm not alone! I'm sure there are others out there that can benefit from knowing this too!

Guest guest
Hey Vicki, Welcome to our group! You'll get really attached to everyone here. It's so nice to have so many to share this with and learn from. Yes, I do feel like the way things came togeather for me proves it was meant to be. I feel guilty with how quick it went with my insurance company after reading how so many on here struggle with appeal after appeal to finally get their's. My heart goes out to them and it's not right! I will keep you posted on every detail! I'm even looking forward to the traveling. Haven't been any further East than St. Louis. Plan on taking in the sights and looking forward to meeting my other pre and post-op family members Keep me posted on your progress!
Guest guest
Congratulations Bonnie! Sounds like you're doing great for your first month on the other side! Doesn't it feel great!?! I've decided to finally give in...all the waiting and wishing for this thing to go away is not helping or working. Like you said...I thought it was gone and then all of the sudden it was back! I'm going to the store after work tonight and looking for something that will kick this thing in the butt! Good Luck!

Guest guest
- Let me know if you find a cure.... I did, as someone suggested, check my sugar levels (I had gestational diabetes while pregnant and have a blood tester here) and they were really great- even on the low side. So- I think it is just from those antibiotics...... On a good note- today is my 1 month aniversary and I have lost a grand total of 31 pounds!!!! Guest guest
Getting yeast infections from taking antibiotics is pretty common. The antibiotics not only kill the bad bacteria, but the good bacteria that keeps things like yeast under control. There is a prescription pill that will kill all the yeast in your body, but usually over the counter stuff works for the infection. Also try eating a lot of plain yogurt, as well as applying it to the body (fun, right?). Yogurt contains acidolphilus bacteria, which will help restore your body's natural balance. Anyone else with suggestions?
