I completed my fist batch yesterday and am wondering - I've made

homemade yogurt before (and have been eating yogurt my entire adult

life), but this stuff is really tart! Did I do it right? Does the

nut yogurt taste the same? I'll eat it, but I'm not sure I'm going

to have a lot of success introducing it to my 3 yo! How does yogurt

clean up off of wood floors? ;>

Try adding a little honey. It's surprising how the taste of the tart yogurt does

grow on one ;-)

You need a puppy. My dog loves SCD yogurt!

I think you probably did do it right. It is very tart.

My boys actually like it that way.

But to sweeten it up, you can add cooked pureed fruit or you can

add honey.

As for your floor... if you think it's going to get dumped, you might

try a big trash bag under the chair...LOL.

I tried it and thought it was tart and unpleasant, but then after

the initial shock the taste got better in my mouth. I've only had

one spoon. My 4 yr old, formerly extreme picky child of the world,

eats it off the spoon as is. He signs that it isn't good, but he

eats it and never spits it. If he truly didn't like it he wouldn't

eat it or swallow it. You might try it with nothing in it first.

I think my first batch wasn't made correctly. We are on our second

batch now and it's much different in many ways. Runnier for one.

I've not seen a major reaction with it or any goat products. We are

actually doing goat cheddar as well after almost 2 yrs CF. No

negative reactions traceable to this.
