I have a clinic that bills 90911 to Medicare with no problems as a PTPP. It

does have CCI edits attached to is so almost any other treatment performed

that day needs to documented and coded with the -59 modifier as separate and

distinct.

Medicaid does not reimburse for this code.

Subject: Biofeedback codes for pelvic health

Hi Group-

We are starting up a pelvic health program and I was wondering folk's

experience with the 90911 CPT code for biofeedback? Is it getting reimbursed

when a PT bills it? I only have experience with 90901.

Thanks for your help.

Yes, it is getting reimbursed by most insurances. Occasionally, we have

difficulties with specific plans for Anthem and Medical Mutual.

Hi Meryl,

I have been billing 90911 for years. In my experience, the Blues do not cover

it. Aetna covers it in general but some plans do not, so i always recommend

verifying patient benefits for that specific code and dx. Medicare covers it

but there is an LCD, so you will want to review which dx are covered.
