Guest guest
Guys-- Don't focus on the weight loss for its own sake. Concentrate on the medical problems that are made worse or could become worse because of your obesity. Treat this as a medical condition, which it is, not a cosmetic procedure just because you want to be thinner. That's the kind of thing that will win appeals. Do you have joint pain, elevated blood pressure, shortness of breath, sleep problems, diabetes, heart problems, etc. Seriously analyze how you feel. How is your cholesterol? It's not for looks, it's for health. Good luck. Katy 3/15/99--344 4/19/99--
Guest guest
Beth Sorensen had to fight too, and she used Walter Lindstrom. She said he is great and knows all about this surgery, having had WLS himself. He has a website, which I think you may be able to get to through Dr. Rutledge's website. Anyway, I think it's called the Center for Obesity Law. Good Luck Katy
