My son is 4. Last night we started a 3 day trial of DMSA suppository. Tonight after his bath we were noticing his feet looked rather red, his hands too, but sometimes this happens to him, especially since he usually has cold hands. He had his night time "concoction" of supplements (including bactrum for gut bacteria) and after reading a book we gave him the suppository. Within 5 minutes he was squirming all over the place, uncomfortable, itching his ankles, rolling around like there was a bee in his pants or something. After trying to calm him down or trying to distract him, nothing was working. He wasn't crying, but was definitely disturbed. I put some Hydro-cortisone cream on his ankles. His feet were still red, and it went right up to his mid-calf. He could not stay still, it was like

his skin was burning or something. His cheeks are still red, but don't seem itchy. After about 10 minutes of struggling, he went to sleep instantly.any idea what the issue could be? We started Nystatin again a couple of days ago, but we've been on that for a year on and off. I didn't think going back on it after two weeks off would matter much. the only change is the DMSA suppository. could it effect him that quickly? The red hands and feet related to the red cheeks? Is it OK to do the DMSA while on Bactrum? the dose of the DMSA is 300MG. He is about 40 pounds. does this seem correct? We're supposed to collect urine for the UTM test after day 3. Do we do the 3rd night of DMSA?Thank you for any help or advice...-shelly
