Kay,

nice to hear about you. I have some words of wisdom from experience: first, 26

pounds is perfect for this amount of time. You don't want to be losing faster

because then you put your gall bladder at risk as well as your overall protein

levels. Sounds to me like you are right on track. Second, the eating thing is

hard to figure out, but you can get it with practice. Use a small plate and

really small fork or spoon ( I used demitasse spoons). Also, I would take a

bite then get up and walk to the other end of the house and stay away from my

plate for up to 5 minutes. Then, go back to my plate and have another small

bite. It worked and brought the eating fast/vomiting cycle to a close. You can

do it. You can also email me off list if you want to talk more about this.

You are doing great--dont' let yourself get discouraged, you are on the right

path and it will all come together.

Kay-

I don't know how these things are supposed to go, but from Pam's reply it

seems as if you are on the right track. Hopefully, you will get things

figured out and continue to lose steadily and healthfully. I must say,

trying to learn new eating habits sounds very challenging!

Update on me post op

> Well its been 5 weeks today since my surgery and I have lost 26 and a half

pounds. I had hoped to lose more by now but I'm having trouble keeping down

enough calories because I keep eating too fast and then throwing it back up.

This CHARGE eating too fast thing has got to go! I'm working so hard at

trying to slow down with my eating.

stomach hurts if we have what he likes in the house and don't

make sure he keeps a variety in him.
