If I can 'chime' in? the book " WINGS " , available from the Canadian

Deafblind and Rubella Association website: www.cdbra.ca is written by

the family about the experience in setting up supportive independent

living for their teen daughter. (my student)

Also,a low vision assessment with those who are familiar with CHARGE!

With " glee " a young adult FINALLY got some assistive devices to make

her life easier, and help reduce some stress and fatigue in trying to

do some of the routine things in life. Hopefully of all these things

if needed, such as telescopes, magnification, CCTV, computer/software

adapted, etc...will make things much easier.

For those in transistion, you could videotape as much of her positive

activities and techniques as you can(I'm sure Perkins will do this) to

help in the training of new program staff.
