Guest guest
this could be die-off. give charcoal two hours away from everything to mop up crud. that might helpnancy jSubject: anti-viral protocol questionTo: mb12 valtrex Date: Thursday, April 22, 2010, 2:42 PM I recently started my 3 1/2 year old on valtrex and anti-fungals. He started 12 days ago. This week he has bitten two people - his brother and SEIT. The last time he bit anyone was back in November. He is also very "stimmy" the last couple of days. He has always had stims but more frequent this week. Anyone have similar experiences? I have heard of some stories that it has to get worse before it gets better but biting is unacceptable. Thanks,
Guest guest
Charcoal is an excellent idea...very important. I would also recommend ramping up your doses. Not sure how much of each you started with or if you started them at the same time, but in my house, we NEVER start anything full dose. My aspie daughter is 19 and cannot handle full doses right from the start. I do anything I can to avoid die-off in this house, and that means adding things in slow and steady From: Rykert <myluke06yahoo (DOT) com>Subject: anti-viral protocol questionTo: mb12 valtrex@ yahoogroups. comDate: Thursday, April 22, 2010, 2:42 PM I recently started my 3 1/2 year old on valtrex and anti-fungals. Guest guest
I could be wrong, but I don't know that there's much difference in brands of charcoal. I just buy the brand from the local health food store...KAL is what it says on the bottle. I think I overkill with the charcoal, I give mine 6, but she is older, so I'm not sure how many. Maybe you could start with two?? Also, when they say two hours away from other supps, that means one hour after supps take the charcoal, then wait another hour before giving anything else. So basically one hour before and after the charcoal...does that make sense? Guest guest
We get ours at Whole Foods, but Walmart is okay too. You want to open a capsule in water or juice, mix it up well and give with a straw to drink. It has no flavor, but is a bit gritty in texture. Use an opaque glass or give in dark liquid cause it makes things look gray. Just remember 2 hrs away from supplements cause it will absorb them too. If you don't do any stuff at night, that's a terrific time cause it stays in the gut all night and soaks up lots of crud. The only issue you can have is too much (several capsules) can cause constipation, but one or two a day is no problem.nancy j From: Rykert <myluke06yahoo (DOT) com>Subject: anti-viral protocol questionTo: mb12 valtrex@ yahoogroups. comDate: Thursday, April 22, 2010, 2:42 PM I recently started my 3 1/2 year old on valtrex and anti-fungals. Guest guest
Actually, it's mostly recommended 2 hours before and 2 hours after. Not 2 hours total. 4 hours total. So it can be pretty hard to accomplish for some. The biggest recommendation that I have - MOTRIN! It's not comfortable going through die off. You'd probably bite someone and be stimmy, too if you were that uncomfortable. Guest guest
You know, I've always been confused by the one hour/two hour thing. And one time I asked for clarification on here, and this is the way it was told to me. I'm currently working with MP, and he told me one hour after supps it was okay to give charcoal, and that's what I've been doing for a year, and my daughter is progressing beautifully, so something's working haha Having said that, it totally makes sense to me that two hours on each end would obviously be better, but there are times when my daughter feels so ill after taking the supps, she can barely wait the hour, much less two. Just my two cents, >>>From: Rykert <myluke06yahoo (DOT) com>>Subject: anti-viral protocol question>To: mb12 valtrex@ yahoogroups. com>Date: Thursday, April 22, 2010, 2:42 PM>>> >>>>I recently started my 3 1/2 year old on valtrex and anti-fungals.
