colds and ringing hearing aids

Does anyone know if colds make hearing aids whistle? Ihave had this bad cold for

a couple days and ths morning i [put my hearing aid in and i can hardly even

turn it up without it whisling

I think it has to do with an ear infection, that is causing the hearing aid to

have some feedback. If anyone else has any other suggestions please tell.
