I had to look mine up... the last time it was done I had a total

cholestrol level of 214 but my HDL level was at 74. It's always been

high (the HDL level) all my life....so that's good! Thanks for the

chart.

Wow Zanna.... I thought Melita's CPK was high but you've taken the

lead.... of course you won't get a gold medal for that. No wonder you

feel horrible. Did your doctor say how long they will keep you on

Cellcept and Pred at this high dose?

I think it also would be a good idea to find a day care for Brody.

He's at that age where he's on the go all the time and it can wear a

healthy person out...let alone a sick one. I hope you're able to find

something in your area and I'm sure Brody will love having kids his own

age to play with.

Hi Zanna.... I'm so happy to hear things are looking up on the home

front. But I agree he needs to still learn how to channel his anger

into something more productive instead of at you. Stand firm on what

you believe in... it will only help to make him a better person in the

end.

It's very understandable that he's unable to handle the stress of all

this... but, does that mean you can handle it? He needs to understand

that things have changed and you need him as much as he needs you. He

can do it... I know he can. I agree with you... It is harder for your

loved ones to understand how you're feeling. Since it's not happening

to them it's hard to understand the pain we're in 24/7 and how it

changes from day to day. That's the part that makes all of this so

hard to understand.... it would help a whole lot if they could take your

place for just one to two days... then it would all come together for

them. I do hope and pray follows through on getting some help.

Hi Melita

Great article... but it's sad that any body has to push for such

measures when someones life is on the line. In todays world it's the

one who yells the loudest that gets the job done. Yet most of us are

afraid to really cause such a fuss. But, landlords and business owners

only see the dollars being spent for the cost of clean up and not what

it's doing to a persons health. THAT'S SAD!!!!

I know many people get angry at OSHA when they come in an close a

building down. But I can tell you by first hand knowledge that if it

weren't for OSHA and other agencies... we would have no clean water to

drink and we all would have some form of cancer and/or lung disease.

Even the company I use to work for... it was owned by a gentle wonderful

man that wanted the company and it's people to move further ahead. He

sold the company to people who told him they would not only protect the

people but make sure his dream was met. Not long after the sale, the

new company made some changes. Dumping waste in the river bed was the

norm at 2 am in the morning. Now this stuff would glow GREEN at night

so they decided to add the waste water to dilute it. The people called

OSHA .... I can't tell you the amount of times the company has been

fined for dumping... and those are only the times they were caught.

It's so sad that a company has MONEY ahead of peoples health...

including there own.

Out of all the Olympics I've watched, which has been every day, I

haven't seen anything on curling. Of course I don't have cable nor a

I think its a good thing that you are instructing your friends child to

know what is right and wrong when she's visiting you. It might be her

only chance to learn a valuable lesson. All kids not only need

guidance but I think they desire it. You'll become her Aunt Melita

that wants only the best for her.
