Guest guest
Hi all, Just a quick question. (4 last week) has started slapping herself on the face and giggling hysterically so assume this is supposedly a funny experience for her. It usually happens when she is excited. Obviously, the most desirable thing would be for her to stop it. How have people handled this type to behaviour when it has arisen? What is it all about anyway? I thought these sorts of behaviours usually occur out of boredom or frustration? So far we have just stopped her, redirected her attention elsewhere and/or told her to stop slapping her face. Any other ideas/suggestions? Hopeful that it will not become a habit we cannot break. The head banging was short-lived so here's hoping this will be too.
