>Lynda>What is an ironing pile? Just had my Mum to stay over Easter and the

last

>thing she ironed at the bottom of my basket was the blouse I wore on New

>Year's Eve! Is it really horrible to deliberately strip all the beds in

the

>house the day before the " ironing lady " arrives so that the sheets and

duvet

>covers will all be magically washed and ironed 2 days later?

LOL mum was staying with us when G was in hospital *everything* that sat

still has been through the wash!! and been ironed!

however our lovely white cutwork duvet cover ripped all along the top as she

dragged it out of the washing machine -it will mend but won't ever be the

same:-(

It was a wedding present and as we only own the 1 superking duvet cover its

done pretty well (we have a king size which we squeeze the duvet into when

the other is in the wash-or ripped)

Angi

house now back to pigsty as i'm i/c again!!

For the first time ever my ironing has been up to date for the last 3 1/2

weeks. Sadly this is because I have been trying to keep myself busy after the

awful time we've had recently. Does that mean that stress makes do the

ironing!!??

dh is happy anyway....he has a clean shirt to wear every morning!

My ironing only ever gets up to date when I'm due to go into labour. This is

my major sign as I iron manically the evening befor I give birth. DH has the

awful dilemma that I will only get the current Ironing pile done if he

consents to another baby!!! I think ironing destined never to be finished.

(sadly!!!!)

Hmm. Don't think much of your mum's housekeeping, Angi. My mum used to

strip the clothes off you if she thought she'd spotted a mark or stain on

what you were wearing!! Thank goodness now she is older she has given that

little habit up.
