Guest guest
If you mispelled anything I didn't notice, LOL!!! My brain is quite off today for some strainge reason. My feet seem to swell for no apparent reason as well. It switches from foot to foot!! On Tuesday at the P/T's office it was my right ankle, now yesterday and today it's the top of my right foot. Go figure!! Hugs, Peggy > > Sorry Peggy~ > I posted my email in sections. When it came back to me, I reread it and saw that I had made quite a few typos. If you get to a part that you can't make out or understand, just ask me and I'll try to clear it up. Okay? > Love and blessings...Val > Behind Again, as usual:( > > > Hi All, > > It's me, the stray one, the lagger, the one who can't seem to keep > up!!! I try so hard to get on every day and I have such good > intentions, I really do, but somehow, someone, something always seems > to stop me. Hi Peggy~ It's always good to hear from you. Yes, I remember the days when my house was so full of activity. To this day I don't know how I made it. Must have been the grace of God. > > This past week has been nuts. I'm not even sure what day it is > anymore. had the weekend off and we tried to get as much yard > work done around here ads we could because we weren't sure when he > woudl be going away for his fob. He got the lawn mowed and weed > whacked and all the outdoor furniture put away. I got my fall > decorations out and took care of cleaning out Zack's drawers and > putting most of his Summer clothes away. > > Tuesday got the call at work and he accepted a Sgts. position > at Greehaven Correctional Facility. That is where he started 18 years > ago as a C.O. He had to report this morning so he only had one day to > get his stuff together so yesterday was a blurr. He packed, we > shopped for some quick, easy to prepare food, he borrowed a microwave > (well, took the microwave from his Mom's house, lol) borrowed a mini > fridge from his niece that even has a freezer in it. We had a small > t.v. and he took our daughter's dvd player. He has state housing > which is costing him $76 a pay period which is every 2 weeks so not > bad. Wow! $76.00 a pay period, sounds pretty good! Does he stay there by himself, or does he have a roommate? Sounds like he's pretty much good to go with all the essentials. > > He was happy to find that when he got there he was one of 3 new Sgts. > starting today and one just happened to be the guy he was roomates > with when he went to the acadamy all those years ago!!! Also the > Superintendent there now used to be a Sgt. there when he was a C.O. > and he really liked so that's a plus for him. He has Saturday > off so he will be home tomorrow by about 6-6:30, it takes about 3 1/2 > hours to get home and then he has to work Sunday afternoon so will > leave that morning at 11. He isn't sure of his schedule after that as > he hasn't been assigned to a squad yet. He's hoping to be able to > swap with other sgts. and work 16 hour shifts and work 2 days on and > have 4 days off. It's good that is with some people he actually knows. Should help things go smoother. Also, since I'm pretty sure he's going to be missing the family, this will be kinda like an extention of the family unit. Personally, if Tom were to take a job like that where he had to commute so far, I'm not sure it I'd care for it or not. It's not that I would mind being alone so much, as the fact that if anything were to happen, he'd be so far away. But, in your case, I'm sure you've got transportation should anything happen. I hope. > > I'm feeling ok, very tired, Zack has been sick, nursing a cough. I > thought it was allergies, but now it's moved into his chest and he's > coughing pretty good. I had to give him a breathing treatment today > and will give him another before he goes to bed tonight. Have had the > vaporizer going every night for 3 nights but he's been up 5-6 times > coughing and crying and asking for water. Of course he is still in > the pull up night time undies and he is wet every morning so I'm > doing double duty laundry every day. I hope Zack gets to feeling better real soon. Is he running a fever? DH has been complaining for the past 3 days of being stuffy, congested, and having body aches. I think he's looking for some comfort and sympathy.LOL After giving him a great big hug and kiss, I told him to get to the store and buy some Benadril. Him getting sick, then passing it to me, isn't my idea of a good time. There are plenty of other issues that need to be taken care of right now. > > My P/T has been ok, my muscles are weak, my balance is for caa- caa, > right now my left foot on the top seems to be swollen, don't ask me > why. My back is constantly in pain and my hips hurt alot. When I get > out of therapy my knees seem to hurt the worse. I have been approved > for 12 visits and have gone 3 times so only 9 more visits to go. The > neuro wanted me to go for 8 weeks 2-3 times a week. I won't ask you why your foot is swollen, because I have the same problem with my feet. Sometimes they just swell for no apparent reason. I am sorry you're in pain. I will lift you in prayer. Back and hip pain is no laughing matter. I have arthritis in my lower back and sometimes it wipes me out. I hope the PT works for you. I really do. > > I go back next Friday for the results of my Cognitive Testing. Can't > wait to see what that says. I was so out of it last Friday I couldn't > even remember the Drs. name!!! I was in there for 3 hours this time > to boot because I was late the last time. I thought I would die!!!! I know those tests can be quite frustrating. Maybe you didn't do as bad as you did. But, if you did, maybe you'll be able to get some of the things taken care of that you need taken care of. In any case, I hope it works out in your favor. > > I still seem to be losing my hair at an amazing rate!!! I asked > if he thought it was looking any thinner and he just laughed and said > no, but it feels thinner to me. I'm probably just overreacting, but > it's hard when you see wo much in your hands every day. I sewar I've > pulled enough out to make a wig for myself!! One good thing is I've > lost enough weight to put me down 2 pant sizes!!! I was so excited > when I went to get new jeans!!! My old ones were falling off I didn't > even have to upbutton them. I went to the big ladies side of the > Dress Barn and I actually had to go to the Small lsdies section!!!! > I'm only 3 sizes bigger than my daughrer!!!! I'm still wondering why my hair is falling out so badly too. When I went to the Dr. a few weeks ago, she said there was nothing wrong with my thyroid. She's got me on HRT therapy now, but my hair is still falling out by the hand fulls. My kids have noticed that my hair is getting thinner. But, then again, they don't see me all the time, so they notice things like that. But, to me it's pretty obvious. Great news on the weight loss!! I'm super happy for you. If I could just lose 2 pant sizes, I'd be so much happier. > > Well, on and on I go again. I will try to catch up on as much as I > can over the next few days wehn and if I get a few minutes. I hope > everyone is doing well and feeling well and for those of you who > aren't please get better and hang in there. I think about all of you > even when I'm not online. > > Hugs, > Peggy > > > > > > -------------------------------------------------------------------- -------- > > > No virus found in this incoming message. > Checked by AVG Free Edition. > Version: 7.5.487 / Virus Database: 269.13.27/1020 - Release Date: 9/20/07 12:07 PM > > > > > > -------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------- > > > No virus found in this incoming message. > Checked by AVG Free Edition. > Version: 7.5.487 / Virus Database: 269.13.27/1020 - Release Date: 9/20/07 12:07 PM >
