Guest guest
Challenge tests are worthless and potentially very dangerous for your child, they do not prove anything nor do they help the chelation process. If your using the DAN! Chelation protocol your playing Russian Rouelette with your Childs health. The odds are very good that he will get worse. Research Andy cutlet chelation. > > I thought I would offer an update about iodine supplementation in our house. Our DAN! pediatrician also treats our oldest daughter who is NT. She is diagnosed hypothyroid. A year ago, her TSH levels were normal but her T3 free and T4 free were low. Our doctor decided to treat with Iodoral in addition to the selenium she was already taking to see how that went before putting her on armour. Our daughter is strongly convicted about good health, but she is also VERY busy at college, so she doesn't always remember to take her supplements. She might take them for a week and then forget for two or three weeks. We just had her thyroid test redone and even though she has been VERY inconsistent about her supps, her T3 free and T4 free were both raised. The T4 free was well in the normal range. She has buckled down and is now very good about taking everything daily. We will retest in 3 mths and I will let you know how it looks then. > > In the meantime, the whole iodine conversation reminded me that I had been meaning to test my boys for iodine deficiency. They did test deficient, so I talked to our DAN! and he recommended a dosage for the Iodoral. They both already supplement with selenium. I immediately noticed positive behavioral/attention changes particularly in my youngest son. After about a week and a half, the negative behavioral changes consistent with die-off hit, along with fluffy yellow stools. I started giving charcoal and that has helped, to the point where my son will ask to take it. We are still experiencing some more emotional behavior, but his stools are normalized again and overall he is seeing gains. > > This child is still metal toxic according to his last challenge UTM and we are going to start another round of chelation soon. Whenever he chelates with DMSA, we can actually smell metal on him when he sweats. The really interesting thing is that after starting on iodine, I started noticing the metal smell on him at night when I would check on him before I went to bed. One day that I forgot to give him iodine, he didn't smell like metal. I started researching and it seems that iodine chelates.
