Well he started out with some language, not much, though. But as soon as we started the antivirals language just exploded. Language always gets better for us and it's not something that happens over night, although the changes can seem like it. The day after starting antivirals he started using his words spontaneously, not being asked to mimic. That was awesome. And then a week or so later he said a full sentence, "I want mommy!" He had fallen and hurt himself and Daddy tried to pick him up - this was on a Father's Day so it was nice, even though it was about me. We were just thrilled. But the initial mimicking came from Therapeutic Listening. Then antivirals brought it into spontaneous language and it's been going on ever since. We just had another huge boost in expressive pragmatic language from chelation.

My son has visual stims when he gets excited. The stims are rubbing the thumb

against each fingers beginning with the pinkie up to the index finger and

repeating.

For example, he stims when we are at the aquarium and he sees a school of fish

or bubbles in the aquarium. Also, he stims when we play at the water fountain

and he sees the water droplets form rings on the still water.

We have the yeast under control, have address all but two viral issues (Herpes

Zoster and Rubella are the last two), and has heavy metal issues (mainly mercury

and arsenic per the French Tests).

We did the Vitamin A protocol and are currently giving 15,000 to 20,000IU

Vitamin A a day.

Our main issue with my son is expressive language. However, if I can address

the visual stims in the meantime, that would be great.

Any suggestions for treatments? Supplements or herbs? Vision Therapy or Prism

Lenses?

Okay, so I was researching about autism and scouring info and all that jazz. I came upon Dr. Goldberg's site, read his presentation, etc. It sounded exactly like my son so we went to see him. My son's HHV-6 and EBV titers turned out to be high so we did his protocol for a while. When we left Dr. G, we kept the antivirals/antifungals because he's still not able to be off them. Hoping that will come soon, though!

Yes. You really can't do it very successfully without an antifungal. If you had to take him off Diflucan, my suggestion would be to try Nizoral and keep a close eye on liver function.

To be fair, though, not everyone has that fast of a reaction to Valtrex. My son was an immediate responder and it was a total *wow* intervention for us.

What can help in clearing Vitamin A if that is the case?

Also, just to confirm what is the amount of Vitamin A we should be giving our

children? Is it 10,000 - 20,000 IU per day for maintenance per the Vitamin A

protocol?

Maybe that is my issue. I may need to lower my Vitamin A supplementation.

Is there a recommended Vitamin A supplementation based on weight particularly a

40-pound boy?

few questions are you doing CLO as well? what dose are you doing? when I did LOW dose longer protical I did 5 drops a day till we had break out but then we had to go OFF of it. not sure if I was doing it long term I would do more then one drop.
