Guest guest
Hi Purdeux I am now on 55 mg of HC. This is the dose that seems to work in ending a lot of my symptoms. My temps are pretty stable on this dose although I feel I cannot rely on temps as the final diagnostic tool because I take topical estrogen which changes my temps. I was on 55 mg before and felt pretty good but I ended up going back down to 42.5 mg because it freaked me out to be on such a high dose of HC. I am thinking that I will simply stay on this dose for a while because I can feel the difference and I don't have side effects. Do you think medrol would be better? Are you on medrol? Guest guest
Liz sometimes the higher doses ARE needed until oyu get some reserves built up. BUT keep watch on BP and GLUCOSE adn fluid reteniton. They qwill be the first signs of high cortils and it will probably happen in a week or maybe 2-3 but sooner or later that dose is likely to be too much and cause high cortisol sy,mpitms when it does you wil just need ot lower it . -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
I apply it to my wrists. So, what do you mean? After using 20 of HC yesterday today I feel like crap. My BP is 140/94 and my tempts are still low 97.7 and my pulse is 91. Everything went wrong as soon as I got up this morning and yesterday I was doing great. I don't have a clue as what to do now. I took 10-5 HC so far today but hate to take anymore due to the BP problem. Will high cortisol cause hight BP? I took some salt a little while ago but it hasn't helped yet. I would use those areas when I needed the dose ASAP. For a slower steadier release of the HC apply to fattier areas such as abdomen, hips, buttocks, thighs, etc. I always felt that being able to adjust the speed of the cortisol hitting the bloodstream was a big advantage to the cream. When applied to fast absorption to the bloodstream areas the cortisol also leaves faster, thus resulting in faster ups and downs....the more I could apply to slow release areas, the steadier and more even a dose was, less ups and downs. I was wondering if the sweating could be from a dose hitting your bloodstream all at once......instead of being absorbed more evenly and slowly. Could be totally off base, but it might be worth trying other application sites to see how it changes your response, or not. It is considered best to always vary application sites for most topicals so far as I know. sol

Guest guest
Hi Val I am definitely watching for the symptoms, for sure. My insulin level was way too low before I went on HC so I am hoping my insulin and glucose normalize a bit. I can spot the high cort. symptoms right away, particularly bloating... Thanks Val! Guest guest
Hi Liz, I am only on adrenal rebuilder and have had symptoms of bloating and feeling uneasy after taking my Adrenal rebuilder. I have been unable to wear my pants or my watch that I bought only a year ago??? There is no hormones in it, but something is not working as before. The only thing I have done to change is stopped eating chocolate. I am wondering if there is a glucose link here. I skipped my afternoon dose and I started to feel normal around 5:00. So, I am thinking it is starting to build up. I have been on it over a year now. But also, I notice feeling better taking some sugar??? Any idea. What are the high cortil symptoms you have? Guest guest
Hi Rhonda I have been trying really hard to cut out refined sugar which is really hard! I worry that while taking HC and refined sugar the extra insulin from the HC would give me high blood sugar and insulin resistance. In your case I am not sure what is going on. Have you thought of taking HC instead of adrenal rebuilder? What is in the adrenal rebuilder? Is there a glandular in it? If not, then you might need cortisol if the sugar is making you feel better (maybe you are slightly hypoglycemic?) Sounds like you are retaining water, too. Hmmm...not sure what is happening. Did you go up on T3 recently? HAve you had your cortisol levels tested? > > > > Liz sometimes the higher doses ARE needed until oyu get some reserves > > built up. Guest guest
HC does NOT cause high insulin. If your dose is too high as in HIGH cortisol, it will increase insulin resistance. For me, beoing a Diabetic, my insulin needs drop as does my glucose whne I take HC, always has. this is because it helps the other hormones work RIGHT. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/

Guest guest
Insulin falls low because of pancreatic insufficiency. Guest guest
Okay. So it isn't really that the pancreas doesn't work, it is just responding to the low cortisol levels? And when the levels go up the pancreas will make more insulin? Thanks Liz

Guest guest
Liz, I've been having this sweating stuff as well. If I exert myself at all, I get high pulse and have low BP. When I googled those together, it says Neurally Mediated Hypotension. http://www.healthy-holistic-living.com/high-pulse-low-blood-pressure.html When my symptoms began, and there were many including dizziness, high pulse low blood pressure, migraines, numbness on the left side of the body, difficulty walking, extreme pain in the muscles and nerves, excessive sweating, muscle weakness, blurred vision, fatigue, palpitations, chest pain, low body temperature, and severe nausea to name a few, I was at a loss as to what was happening to my body. And so were the doctors. You might check that out as a cause of sweating. Still looking for answers, Deb in MI - >
