As I recall...the bluish white is normal milk color, seen when frozen or in a bottle. The yellowish color is with the colostrum mixed in. When the milk first comes in it is colostrum. After the first day or two or three the milk comes in but the colostrum continues to be produced and is mixed in with the milk. After several weeks the colostrum is gone. Another thing that might...and this is educated guesswork...make the milk yellowish is if she is taking vit. B pills...that make urine more yellow...hmmm..just guessing. Cherie Hello? I'm such a wimp when it comes to hot foods. Maybe that could make it yellow. She's also hispanic, maybe that has something to do with it. My milk never looked that thick and yellow. But I'm currently trying to housebreak our newest member of the family ... a 7 week old Basset Hound pup My 5 year old has been begging for a puppy for over a year, and I have to admit I've been wanting one too LOL! My daughter finally got over her " puppy fear " ... went from being absolutely HORRIFIED at the sight of one to treating " Fletcher " like her new doll baby LOL! She wants to kiss him, hold him, cover him with a blankie ... and he loves to chase her because she's just his speed. His short little legs can't keep up with the bigger kids LOL! Anyone ever practice the " family bed " with a puppy successfully??? LOL! With a night of howling behind me, it's VERY TEMPTING!!! & Kylie, still nursing at 19 months! I hear sometimes you have to pin their ears up when they eat or they'll get food all over them. We started using the raw meat diet that someone ( sorry can't remember) suggested. Hi , My computer has been out of commission this weekend because I was trying to erase some temporary files and erased everything. Well to answer your question my milk was yellowish in the first couple of months but is now anything from blue to white to yellow. I guess it doesnot matter. In the nursery where I work the moms who pump their milk also have the differeent colors. I see mostly yellow there but some are white.
