Thank you . It helps to have friends who can truly sympathize with me when the bad parts of MS come up. I can't remember having any auras when I have spasms. I haven't had any more since the other night but my right leg is still sore and tender where the spasm was. Not everyone with MS gets spasms just like not all of us deal with cognitive issues.I also take Neurontin. I'm currently taking between 3200 and 3600 mg. What about you? I don't take Vicodin any longer because it really didn't help with my nerve pain. It did help with some of my back pain that is from injuries however. It is hard to talk to non-MSers about our symptoms because most have a hard time understanding. And then when the MSer still looks like nothing is wrong

with them it makes it even harder. You said you have a positive attitude but sometimes you just break down and cry. That sounds like me. I feel positive most of the time but then sometimes the "moods" hit and I am devastated. It's especially hard when a new MS symptom happens or a returning symptom happens to remind me that I really, truly do have MS. I got some really good advice from my first neuro when I was going through diagnosis. He asked me if I felt moody. I told him "the moods come and they go." He said "when the moods come more than they go, it's time for us to do something about it." Meaning, of course, medication for depression. Depression is a very common symptom of MS and I had to give myself permission to take an antidepressant. On an antidepressant I still have "moods" and crying times but I wonder what it would be if I didn't take the medication? I

think I got off track a bit on what I intended to say here. I understand the emotional outrage at having MS. I'll bet most of us here do. Start talking about your symptoms. Make jokes about it being the "invisible" disease. Let people know that you may look great but inside there is still a disease going on that can flare up at any time. Take care of yourself, put yourself first (not the easiest thing to do) and conserve your energy for what counts. I wish I could truly say something that would help. hugs)) Sharonhttp://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/MSersHEALTH/This'>http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/MSersHEALTH/This email is a natural hand made product. Last night was a bad spasm night for me. I woke at 1:28 and sat up, thinking I needed to go to the bathroom. Then the spasms started in my right inner thing. I quickly lay back down hoping that would help, but it didn't. The spasm intensified. The pain was incredible. It was one of those deep, twisting spasms. I sat back up but the pain would not ease off and then my left foot and leg started into a spasm as well. I tried rubbing my leg but nothing on this earth helps those deep twisting spasms. I watched the clock and the spasm in my right inner thigh lasted a full 6 minutes before it started easing little by little. I took an extra Baclofen and a half a Klonopin and was able to go back to sleep for the night.I know many of you have the severe spasms, too. I just want to tell someone who

understand, you know? I already called Challis and complained to her. She sympathized properly with me. :)hugs))
