Guest guest
Are you saying that challenge tests are a waste of time and money? You just keep chelating until .... When you say no side effects, taking DMSA and being tired is an indication that it is working? My daughter is now able to tell me she doesn't like taking " those pills " (DMSA) because it makes her tired. This " being tired " should go away if it is not doing anything? Thanks Connie
Guest guest
I think my brain is more damaged than Isadora's these days - please can someone explain- especially when you all have the knowledge after the conf. about dosing and redistribution etc I get the point that a big challenge dose pulls lots and some might get redistributed... but why does AC think it is better to give the trad DMSA 3 days of 4 hourly then have a big (is it still 11days) gap than Buttars alternate days... don't you have 11 days of some merc still floating around with nothing to mop it up ? I am very worried as Isadora really really now hates the TD DMPS cream - I think its the tactile sensation of the coldness as it evaporates or something but she bursts into tears and protests every time and insists on putting tubular bandages on her thighs afterwards (I do try to do a lot of rubbing in and delay her a long as possible before getting them on our ) she doesn't mind the EDTA suppositories which she has (half of one) same night as cream . Because she is a precociously developing 10 year old I am sure we are getting into delicate emotional states and because she is at home all time I am really beginning to be upset at her feeling I might be hurting her ....plus she is not not not a regular poo producer. our fav Dr suggested that on top of all means to get the poo flowing ( a spoonful of buffered vit C powder just made her wet the bed - she eats a lot of fruit and lettuce and cucumber and sweet corn and brocoli - I've tried daily doses of calfig ... she's not constipated, just no peristalsis in my opinion - cycling and swimming help, but then there's the chlorine) we are trying 300mg Mgcitrate, psylium husk and pantothenic acid; we switch her to DMSA suppositories. He is recommending that on the basis of 25mg/kg/day she has 500mg for 3 days on and 11days off. When we worked out that this would mean 4 supp per day I asked if it would be a good idea to stagger them through the day. He agreed Does anyone know if this sounds a better idea (she did produce much more merc on a Biolab DMSA oral merc challenge before we started all this than she has on the way through TD DMPS - though we still had plenty of metals and lead off the page - reason for EDTA) Is this a better regime? Should I cut the 4 supps in half and space them out even more through the day/night? Maybe you'll all be even more enlightened when you get back from the conf Many thanks xxx
