Guest guest
Hi Michele, This discussion may have been going on for a while I guess as I have been out of the loop due to no access to my yahoo groups so sorry if I am repeating what everyone has already said. For whatever reason, has gained weight recently (every little helps). It is sad when you get so excited because suddenly your child has a butt! Anyway, some can possibly be attributed to her passion for pasta, olives, avocado, etc. Sometimes, we give her olives to snack on (latest hobby is to put finger through the hole in the pitted ones and eat them this way). Something else that happened at the same time was her cranial osteopath mentioned feeling a tightness in her pituitary and doing some work on this (we primarily take her to contain the curvature in her upper back). Anyway, she started gaining weight shortly after so who knows whether it was due to cranial, pasta/olives/avocado or both or neither? We do try very hard to avoid giving sweets, cakes, ice-creams etc to minimise dental problems because of her heart problems. I do appreciate however that it is all a matter of balancing the pros and cons. Keep searching though. We are still searching for other means of weight increase. Oh, I was chatting about this with the homeopath this week and she has given us a remedy called pituitary to see if it will help. We will see. Funnily, we don't take to see the therapists for growth, feeding etc but if I happen to be there for something else (?urinary infection last week), we get into a discussion about the latest CHARGE issue and it transpires there may be something that MAY help. Who knows? Flo > >Reply-To: CHARGE >To: CHARGE >Subject: Re: smells >Date: Thu, 10 Jun 2004 13:06:01 -0500 > >5 meals a day is something I can try. And ice cream is a good thing here >too. Guest guest
I hadn't thought about homeopathic remedies for pituitary issues. That's something I'll have to ask my natural doc about. I haven't had Aubrie to her for a while. It's so hard to fit into the budget. But maybe it's time for a visit. Thanks for all the input. Let us know how your new supplement/therapy works.
